Curia - Finance Committee
The Interim Finance Committee meets regularly under the Chairmanship of Monsignor John Broadhurst and with Mr Cyril Wood acting as Financial Secretary. All financial enquiries should be addressed to email@example.com .
The Code of Canon Law makes the following reference to the Finance Committee and the Financial Administrator:
Canon 492 - In each diocese a finance committee is to be established, presided over by the diocesan Bishop or his delegate. It is to be composed of at least three of Christ's faithful, expert in financial affairs and civil law, of outstanding integrity, and appointed by the Bishop.
Canon 494 - In each diocese a finanical administratory is to be appointed by the Bishop, after consulting the college of consultors and the finance committee. The financial administrator is to be expert in financial matters and of truly outstanding integrity.
This means that in the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham, once the Governing Council is established, the Ordinary will appoint members of a Finance Committee and, in consultation with the Governing Council and the Finance Committee, appoint a Financial Administrator.
