Welcome to the Parish Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Sheffield where the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham meets to offer Mass according to the Ordinariate Use. Everyone is welcome and all Catholics in communion with the Holy See are permitted to receive the Sacraments with us. These Masses are listed by referring to Dates for your diary opposite.
While we are certainly untraditional in our structure we are traditional in our forms of worship using the liturgical celebrations proper to the Anglican Tradition which have been approved by the Holy See, so as to maintain the liturgical, spiritual and pastoral traditions of the Anglican Communion within the Catholic Church.
We are in communion with the Universal Church because we believe that having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, through the Church he established, is in accordance with the unity for which our Lord prayed. We discover the healing of Christ’s Church through our communion within the Catholic Church and it is our mission to continually call other Christians to begin that same healing and unity we have started to experience ourselves,

What a wonderful day.
On Saturday, 20th May, the Sheffield Ordinariate group went on pilgrimage to Saint Wilfrid's York on the feast day of Saint Alcuin. The Mass setting was according to John Merbecke and somewhere between thirty and forty people attended. Afterwards the group enjoyed lunch at the local hostelry on Petergate followed by some free time in York. We concluded the day to hear Solemn Evensong at York Minster.
Many thanks to Father Richard and Brother David for their gracious hospitality and making us feel so welcome. It was a memorable day in which we were truly blessed.
