Mgr Keith Newton has offered his prayers and best wishes to the two new Provincial Episcopal Visitors (PEVs) for the Province of Canterbury in the Church of England, and the assurance of the support and prayers of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham as they begin this new ministry. Father Norman Banks (R) vicar of Walsingham St Mary, is to succeed Mgr Keith Newton as Bishop of Richborough; and Fr Jonathan Baker (L) Principal of Pusey House, Oxford, is succeed Mgr Andrew Burnham as Bishop of Ebbsfleet. They are suffragan (auxiliary) bishops of the Diocese of Canterbury appointed under an Act of Synod to care for Parishes which petition the Diocesan Bishop for Extended Episcopal Care. Primarily this is to Parishes in the Province of Canterbury who are unable to accept the Ordination of Women as priests.
