"WE'VE DONE IT!" Lancashire Anglicans join Ordinariate
Tuesday 3rd April 2012

A group of Anglicans from Lancashire have been received into the full communion of the Catholic Church through the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Joined by members of the local parish, including Paul Maynard MP - a Catholic and local Member of Parliament, the small group included the Revd Masaki Narusawa, who hopes to be ordained to the Catholic priesthood for the Ordinariate.

Mr Narusawa said, "We have been much blessed in our Christian journey since our baptism and today is the culminating of our spiritual search that has taken us finally to the Catholic Church".

The Parish Priest of St Bernadette's, Bispham in Blackpool, Fr Stephen Pearson, welcomed the group warmly - both as new Catholics and as members of the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham.

Speaking after the Mass, Mr Narusawa said "We shook hands and said 'We've done it!' Today will be etched in our minds as long as we live".
