Mgr Newton received the temporary vows of Brother Robert Augustine at a Mass at Walsingham on Tuesday. He becomes the second member of the Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham in eremitical vows.
By decrees signed by the Holy Father the parish of Our Lady of the Atonement in San Antonio, Texas has been transferred from the Diocese of San Antonio to the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter, along with its church building and its highly successful school. This demonstrate's Rome's commitment to ensuring a the Ordinariate is a lasting presence in the Catholic family as well as adding a vibrant and exciting parish to the Ordinariate in North America.
