On 15 January 2011, the Personal Ordinariate of Our Lady of Walsingham was established by a decree of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, the first fruits of the Benedict XVI’s Apostolic Constitution Anglicanorum coetibus.
On 16 January 2021 Monsignor Keith Newton PA presided at a Celebration Mass to mark the 10th Anniversory. This page will mark the events during this celebration year to mark the event as far as Covid-19 restrictions permit.
Plenary Indulgence
The Apostolic Penitentiary in Rome has agreed to a request from Mgr Newton for a Plenary Indulgence to be available during our anniversary year. From 15th January 2021 to 1st January 2022 any member of the faithful who attends Mass celebrated according to Divine Worship:The Missal or who participates in a public celebration of the Divine Office according to Divine Worship:Divine Office may receive a Plenary Indulgence. The indulgence is subject to the usual conditions of Sacramental Confession, reception of Holy Communion and prayers for the Holy Father's intentions. The sick and those physically unable to participate may equally benefit from the Indulgence. |
