Mgr Keith Newton of the Ordinariate celebrated Mass to launch a new initiative in November: Catholic Women Praying Together. Following the 50-year-old success of the Catholic Women of the Year event, it was decided to hold something new - and so the main Catholic women's organisations have joined together to hold an annual day of prayer. This was launched with a Mass at London's Farm Street church. With Mgr Newton as celebrant, and the choir of Coloma Convent Girls School, Croydon, the Mass was attended by Catholic women from various parts of Britain. The theme was "Praying for our young people" and Bidding Prayers on this theme were read by the Chairman of the Union of Catholic Mothers, Mrs Anne Emblem.

The Ladies Ordinariate Group - LOGS - is one of the leading organisations helping to run this event and our picture shows LOGS members at the lunch that followed the Mass.
