LOGS in the summer
The Ladies Ordinariate Group will be off to the seaside in May - on what has become an annual visit to the Vocations Centre at Whitstable in Kent. The Centre, run by Fr Stephen Langridge, offers young people an opportunity to study and reflect while discerning a vocation to the priesthood or religious life, and also runs conferences and retreats for priests, seminarians, and members of religious orders. The Ladies Ordinariate Group has undertaken to pray specifically for the young men discerning a call to the priesthood at Whitstable, and also to pray for an increase in vocations to the priesthood in Britain. The now annual summer visits to Whitstable include Mass, a lunch for the LOGS - cooked and prepared by the young men studying at the Centre - a talk from Fr Langridge, and the Rosary prayed together at the Centre's garden shrine. Then there is a walk by the sea and time to enjoy the harbour, beach, and shops. The LOGS programme for the spring, summer and autumn also includes: Monday April 20th: Monday May 11th: Monday June 1st: Monday October 5th: Monday November 2nd: All meetings start at 6.30pm and include freshly-brewed coffee and light refreshments. |
