The Wales (South East) Ordinariate Group has been given a new altar by the congregation of the Metropolitan Cathedral of St David, Cardiff, where, thanks to the generosity of Archbishop George Stack, the group was provided earlier this year with its own special chapel.

Father Stanley Bennie, the Ordinariate priest in Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, the most northerly island of the Outer Hebrides, is amused when southerners complain of the distance - sometimes as much as ten miles - that they have to travel to get to Mass. Every first Sunday of the month, he makes a three hour trip on the ferry from Stornoway to Ullapol in the north western Highlands and then catches the bus for the hour-long journey to Inverness so that he can be at Mass with the Ordinariate group there.

The Catholic TV channel, The Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN) based in the US, has announced its programme of Advent talks, including one, for the fourth week, from Fr Ian Hellyer, leader of the Buckfast Ordinariate Group. Fr Hellyer was put forward to give the address by the newly established School of the Annunciation which was asked to provide four priests to give their reflections based on the Sundays of Advent Mass lections.
