Confirmation at the Borough, London Bridge

Mgr Keith Newton celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Church of the Most Precious Blood at the Borough, London Bridge, recently. There were a number of adult candidates, and it was very much a parish celebration as each came forward with his or her sponsor at the 11 am Parish Mass.


Texan gift to Manchester Ordinariate Mission

The Heywood advertiser recently carried an article relating the gift of a Divine Worship Altar Missal to the Manchester Ordinariate Group.  The donors were the Houston church of Our Lady of Walsingham, the Principal Church - soon to be the Cathedral Church - of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter .

New Ordinary appointed for North America
Tuesday 24th November 2015

Mgr Stephen Lopes has been appointed by Pope Francis to the post of Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter in North America, in succession to Mgr Jeffrey  Steenson.  Mgr Lopes has had a leading role in the production of the new liturgies for the Ordinariate including the Divine Worship Missal which come into use this Sunday.


Procession through The Borough
Monday 23rd November 2015

Parishioners at the Church of the Precious Blood at The Borough, London Bridge, took to the streets again last Sunday, with a procession to mark the Feast of Christ the King, the final Sunday of the Church's year


Ordinary to visit Chichester Group
Monday 9th November 2015

Mgr Keith Newton will celebrate the Mass of Christ the King on Saturday 21st November at 4pm in the church of St Richard in Chichester.


5 years on – taking stock of the Ordinariate's situation

The Ordinariate has commissioned a detailed survey of its situation, its activities and its hopes for the future.  The resulting report will be discussed by local groups and used to guide the work of the Ordinariate as it  seeks to build on the foundations it has established.


Institution of Acolytes and Lectors in Oxford
Friday 6th November 2015

At Holy Rood Catholic Church, Abingdon Rd, Oxford, Mgr Newton will institute to the orders of Acolytet and Lector when he presides at Mass on Saturday 14th November at 6pm.  Solemn Pontifical Mass will be celebrated in the Ordinariate Use with music by Byrd and De La Rue.
