In her foreword to the book Anne Widdicombe writes "The most striking feature of this book is its sense of mission. Catholic education is not about the outward forms of faith but about the development of the inner grace of Jesus Christ. Yet the writer has his feet firmly on the ground and his approach to solving problems is not to seek to undo what is but to find new ways of inspiring his pupils."
