Death of Monsignor David Silk
Monsignor David Silk Monsignor Keith Newton writes: Dear Father, Brother and sisters, I am again sad to inform you of the death of another member of our presbyterate. Monsignor David Silk died in Torquay this morning following a short stay in hospital after he had fall earlier in the week. He was anointed before his death and Richard, his son wrote’ He received the last rights before his consciousness receded to which he held out his hands for anointing: he was ready, very humbling indeed’. David’s wife, Joyce, died few years ago. His funeral will take place at Our Lady Help of Christians in Torbay. Details of the funeral will be put on our website in due course. Priests are asked to say Mass for the repose of his soul and pray for Richard and Mary his children and their families. May he rest in peace. |
