Welcome to our mission in

Prittlewell

This new group exists alongside the Southend Ordinariate Mission, and looks to reach out to local Anglican parishes in the Prittlewell, Southchurch, Thorpe Bay, and Shoeburyness areas of the Borough. We are guests of the Southend Parish (Diocese of Brentwood), and Mass is offered each Sunday according to Divine Worship: The Missal.

Prittlewell is the ancient Christian settlement of this area of the north Thames estuary, dating back to Anglo-Saxon times, and is now a very diverse community. The church is a five-minute walk from Southend East train station and just under an hour from London Fenchurch Street station. Visitors are most welcome.

The Group has a Facebook page, which is designated as ‘Prittlewell Ordinariate Group’, and can be found here.

The risen Lord sends his Church forth into the world to evangelise: as part of the Catholic Church, the Ordinariate shares in that vocation and it is for the furtherance of our mission that we have commissioned this new website.
